SODRE National Ballet Audio Description
Description:
In 2023, Sintagma provided a live audio description service for all five productions in the SODRE National Ballet's season: La bella durmiente (Sleeping Beauty), La tregua, Dos hemisferios, La viuda alegre (The Merry Widow), and La fille mal gardée. The service let people with visual disabilities follow each performance, with precise descriptions of the staging. Guest voices included María Noel Riccetto, Jorge Esmoris, and Jaime Clara, adding warmth and artistic value to the accessible experience.
Building on that experience, Sintagma continued in 2024, strengthening a collaborative working method between artistic professionals, the technical team, and validators of the tool for that season's audio description service. This second run offered live audio description for the season's four productions: Don Quijote, El mago de Oz (The Wizard of Oz), El lago de los cisnes (Swan Lake), and Cenicienta (Cinderella).
